This Tudor Black Bay GMT is in brand new condition with factory stickers still applied - the bracelet also hasn't been sized. The GMT iteration of the Black Bay is heavily inspired Tudor divers’ watches of the 1950s. It adopts the characteristic angular hands known to collectors as "Snowflake", that appeared in the brand’s 1969 catalogue. Purchased in 2023 it is still covered by Tudor's 5 year international warranty and comes with its outer box, inner box, booklets and card.
The Black Bay GMT features a 41mm stainless steel case with a polished and satin finish. It has a black dial with white hour markers and hands, and a date window at 3 o'clock. The watch also has a red and blue "Pepsi" bezel, which is used to track a second time zone. One of the unique features of the Black Bay GMT is its movement. The watch is powered by Tudor's in-house MT5652 automatic movement, which is a COSC-certified chronometer. It has a power reserve of 70 hours and is highly accurate and reliable.
The Black Bay GMT also features a screw-down crown and a domed sapphire crystal. It is water-resistant to 200 meters and comes mounted on its original stainless steel bracelet.
Tudor Black Bay GMT History:
In March 2018, Tudor announced the Black Bay GMT. A timeless stainless steel GMT functional travel watch that was based from their family of Black Bay dive watches. It harkens closely to sibling brand Rolex with a similar "Pepsi" style bidirectional bezel to track various timezones. Though this is no Rolex homage, the Black Bay GMT stands on its own and offers a different look to the Rolex GMT-Master II.
