The Seiko Actus line was a sub-brand of Seiko much like the Alpinist or the Prospex brands are today. It was made for exclusively for the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market). The Actus variant had a higher jewelled movement and was marketed as “young, activity line”, compared to the standard Seiko 5. It also focussed on more interesting colour options and to have more creative freedom.

This specific example from 1978 is in great condition. The first thing you'll noticed is this beautiful deep blue textured dial that shines - the dial can produce a navy tint in darker settings but can shimmer to a cobalt blue when the lighting hits it right. At 12 o'clock there are double baton hour markers and with an applied "Seiko" logo and a printed "Actus" logo. Under the case back is Seiko's trusty 7019 movement which can also quick set the date at the first crown position, you can also quickset the day by pressing the crown.  All external components such as the case, hands, hour makers and crown look to be original. The watch also features a Kanji & English day wheel. It comes on an aftermarket dark navy leather strap.
