The Yacht-Master collection by Rolex stands out as one of their most exclusive and prestigious lines of sport watches. Despite its relatively brief existence, it has quietly established itself as one of the most under-appreciated lines in the Rolex catalogue. The example we are presenting for sale is in great condition and is from 2013. The watch is accompanied by its original box, papers, swing tags and booklets.

Condition Report:
The Ref. 116622 is one of the best proportioned sports watches with dimensions measuring 40mm in diameter and 12mm in thickness. The watch sits snugly and modestly on the wrist, boasting a sleek profile, rather than the more angular "Super" profile commonly found in modern Submariners. Due to its platinum material and dimensions the feel is similar to a dress watch than a sports watch.

Overall the watch is in great unpolished condition with only minor hairline scratches which is expected. This model features a platinum bi-directional bezel, complementing its case. Furthermore, it has a water resistance rating of 100 meters and a screw-down crown, adequately safeguarded by crown guards.

The platinum dial showcases a Maxi-style configuration, complete with a date aperture accompanied by a magnifying "Cyclops" lens, generously sized hands and hour markers crafted from white gold, and a red colour accent exclusive to the Yacht-Master collection. Within the stainless steel case, the 116622 houses the Rolex Calibre 3135, an automatic movement renowned for its exceptional reliability and chronometer-grade precision. With a power reserve of 48 hours, this movement is widely utilised by the Rolex.

The caseback, movement, and crown are all signed by Rolex; the crown in particular exudes its logo well. The crown features Rolex's "triplock" system, allowing the watch to be fully sealed for water resistance. The stainless steel Oyster bracelet features full links to fit a wide variety of wrist sizes. The watch is fully functional at -6 seconds per day and winds smoothly.
