Nicknamed 'Hulk' for its stunning green dial and bezel, it is a direct successor to the 16610LV 'Kermit' which featured a green bezel and a black dial. The reference 116610 was introduced in 2010 by Rolex and replaced the 16610 which had been in production for nearly 2 decades. The 116610 brought a huge design change in the Submariner - a heftier stainless steel case was introduced while maintaining its size at 40mm but with thicker lugs, new Oyster bracelet, and the ceramic ‘Cerachrom’ bezel.
