Overall, the watch is in exceptional condition for its age — a result of careful ownership. The black dial exhibits the 'Bubble' effect: a subtle textured quality in the lacquer finish, visible only under close inspection and direct light, and the product of three decades of natural ageing. It is a characteristic unique to each example and entirely unreproducible. The tritium lume plots, pearl, and hands have developed an even, soft custard patina — consistent across all elements and adding warmth to the overall presentation. The sapphire crystal is clean and free of chips or scuffs, with only minor dust marks present around the Cyclops lens.

The 40mm stainless steel case is the standout physical detail of this example. It is unpolished — all original factory brushing remains intact across the case flanks, lugs, and surfaces, and the case retains the sharp, defined lines that Rolex intended. The crown guards, mid-links, and case architecture read exactly as produced. The crown winds smoothly and the Triplock winding crown seal is intact. Some hairline scratches are present on the case and bracelet, consistent with light wear — none of which compromise the integrity of the unpolished finish.

The Oyster 93150 bracelet is fitted with '501B' endlinks and carries a clasp code of 'V', dating it to 1996 — one year after the watch's 'W72XXXX' serial, consistent with examples throughout this period. Minimal sag is present on the bracelet which has full links and its diver's extension — an excellent result for a bracelet of this age. The clasp closes securely and functions correctly throughout.

The Caliber. 3135 automatic movement has recently undergone a full service this year with our watchmaker. The watch is currently running well within Rolex's tolerances at +1 second per day.
