This specific Rolex Explorer II reference 16570 is from 2006 (D serial) and comes with its original paperwork. Nicknamed the "Polar" due to its icy white dial, this is a conversation starter in contrast to the predominately black dial sports models by Rolex. The watch is in great condition and has seen little wear with minimal hairline scratches - mainly around the bezel and on the bracelet. Originally released in 1989, the Explorer II ref. 16570 has had an impressive 22 year run before the ref. 216570 was released in 2011. The ref. 16570 is built up from the ref. 16550, its features included the caliber 3185 movement and a subtle change to the Polar dial model by replacing the silver outlined hands and indices with black, the legibility greatly improved by accentuating the white dial.
