The Rolex Explorer I is a watch that meets simplicity at its finest. Born out of the spirit of expedition and mountaineering, the Explorer is a minimally designed sports watch that is ready to wear for anything life may through at you. Available from 1953, the range has changed since its first model of release but the elements that make up an Explorer watch remain the same; an Oyster steel case, the eye-catching "three, six and nine" Arabic numerals, and a pair of Mercedes hands.

This specific Rolex Explorer reference 114270 is from 2006 coming with its full set - inner box, outer box and papers; punched and dated. The watch is in near NOS condition with no visible wear with next to no scratches, dings or dents. Sitting at 36mm in diameter and 11mm in thickness it will compliment any wrist size and is visually more proportionate than its 39mm counterpart. While the 114270 was short lived in Rolex's catalog it remains one of the most important watches of the 2000's.  This watch is in full running condition ready for its new owner.

The Rolex Explorer can be justified as the best everyday watch on the market. A time only complication housed in an Oyster steel case with the iconic "three, six and nine" Arabic numerals, what more could you want or need? Whilst subtle and simple in design the Rolex Explorer is a rugged beast that can take you from mountain tops or into the deepest of forests - but more realistically it's a great desk driver that will fit under your shirt cuff and wouldn't look our of place in the weekend with a t-shirt and shorts.
