The Rolex Datejust has served as the foundation of Rolex's product lineup since 1945. This particular reference 16234 from 1994 presents itself as a perfect choice for a daily timepiece. As a 5-digit reference of the Datejust it incorporates all the modern advancements within vintage specifications. It features a sapphire crystal, a date window at 3 o'clock with a quickset function, an 18k white gold fluted bezel, a flat-style 62150H Jubilee bracelet, and operates with the iconic Caliber. 3135 automatic movement.

Condition Report:
Overall, the watch is in great condition ready for its new owner.
The silver dial is in excellent condition and has aged to show hints of cream, applied baton hour markers are present for legibility. Around the exterior of the hour markers are even tritium lume plops and the stainless steel hands also host tritium. Positioned at 3 o'clock is the date window, and just below the 6 o'clock marker, you'll find the tagline 'T Swiss Made T'. The sapphire crystal is unblemished and is a welcomed update to this 5-digit reference.

The 36mm case is in great condition, bearing some hairline scratches. Even after a polish, the case edges remain well-defined. The crown, located at 3 o'clock, can be wound smoothly and operates without any resistance - there is also the ability to set the date with the quickset function. The 62510H flat style Jubilee bracelet features '555B' endlinks, it exhibits a slight sag which is expected considering its age. It accommodates large wrist sizes since the full 21 links are provided. Finally, the watch's "X" serial number, indicates a production date of 1991 whilst the watch was sold in 1993. The watch is accompanied with its original papers and Rolex wallet.

Personal Comments:
The Datejust is one of the easiest watches to wear; the ability to pair it with anything from a double-breasted suit to even sweatpants while making a grocery run concludes that it is the perfect companion for anyone. We personally believe a vintage Datejust is a must-have for any collector to own or for anyone looking for their first Rolex.
