This particular Ref. 1603 from 1973 features the rare "linen" dial where the pattern is very reminiscent of the fabric. The watch also features an easy-to-read date display, a steel engine-turned bezel, a stunning Jubilee bracelet, and operates with the Caliber. 1570 automatic movement.

Condition Report:
Overall, the watch is in excellent vintage condition with minimal wear present across the watch given its age. The rare linen dial is in excellent shape with minimal degradation or blemishes present. The dial features block hour markers, while within the pie pan, the in-tact tritium lume plops have gracefully matured over time to a yellow tone. Positioned at 3 o'clock is the date window, and just below the 6 o'clock marker, you'll find the tagline 'T Swiss T'. The plexiglass crystal is unblemished, with only minor signs of scratches.

The 36mm case is in excellent condition, bearing only minor hairline scratches. The case edges remain crisp and well-defined likely unpolished at all. The crown, located at 3 o'clock, can be wound smoothly and operates without any resistance. The 6251H Jubilee bracelet features '55' endlinks, and it exhibits minimal sag which for its age. It accommodates wrist sizes up to 8 inches and consists of 22 links. Finally, the watch's serial number, 332XXXX, indicates a production date of 1973. The movement is in excellent condition operating at +5 seconds per day.

The Datejust is one of the easiest watches to wear; the ability to pair it with anything from a double-breasted suit to even sweatpants while making a grocery run concludes that it is the perfect companion for anyone.
