First launched as a watch for race car drivers in 1957 and later linked to mankind's greatest leap in 1969. The Omega Speedmaster Automatic Ref. 3510.50 is commonly known as the “Reduced” because of its dimensions. Often referred to as the little brother of Omega's Speedmaster Moonwatch there's nothing little about what the Reduced has to offer - a clean and striking dial, an automatic chronograph movement and the history behind one of horology's most famous brands. At 38.5mm diameter is slightly on the smaller side of average for a modern watch, and a chronograph at that, though it’s nothing extreme. Additionally, the measurement from the case back to the top of the domed hesalite crystal is just under 12mm, which is impressive for an automatic chronograph. The snap-on case back features Omega’s hippocampus engraving. This specific Speedmaster has seen light wear, the bracelet is still crisp with full links on offer. The glass has seen a few scratches and scuffs but nothing to be overly concerned about. It comes with the original box, operating manual and leather card holder.Personal Comments: The little brother of the famed "Moonwatch", the Speedmaster Reduced still packs a big punch. Staying true to it's origins in terms of features, quality and practicality we think the Reduced boasts better proportions on wrist for everyday wear - for small the medium sized wrists this is the watch for you. The history of this watch is obviously iconic and you can get yourself this, an Omega and a chronograph at an affordable price point.
