Report

Overall, the watch is in excellent condition, with only minimal scratches across the case. The original MKII dial is in excellent condition and is clean, with minimal wear present. It is signed 'Paris' indicating its production in Paris or London. Blue sword hands mark the hour and minutes; both are in excellent condition.

The 18k yellow gold case is beautiful and refined, whilst it has seen a polish in the past in retains much of its originality. The 'Type 2' cabochon sapphire crown sits at 3 o'clock and winds the manual movement well. The watch comes on a Cartier black leather strap, along with its original Cartier 18k yellow gold buckle.

Louis Cartier invented the Cartier Tank in 1917. Known today as the brand's most iconic watch, the name and design are derived from the Renault FT-17, a French tank that was used in combat throughout World War One. Using rectangular and square lines as the shape of the watch, it keeps a relatively slim profile.
