A Seiko Diver is a must in anyone's collection, its versatility is paramount and can easily be paired with anything. This Seiko 6458-6020 was a JDM (Japanese domestic market) model sold exclusively through retailers in Japan. Its design harkens closely to the likes of the modern fan favourite SKX007 and SKX0013 as Seiko began to really develop their design language in diver's around this period. While being a quartz movement (battery powered) the 6458 series is one of the most collectable due to its superior quality, finishing and small production run. It also featured a unique bezel which wasn't common at the time to save money.
6458-6020 was a transitional model only produced between 1984 and 1985, this specific 6458-6020 has a production date of May 1985. For further collectability the 6458-6020 has printed "200m" above 6 o'clock whereas it's more common counterpart the 6458-6020A has "150m" printed. At a modest 38mm it's a perfect companion for diving or for any vigorous activity.
