This example we have from 1983 is in good vintage condition. It features a textured white dial with sharp stainless steel hour markers and hands. The case design of this watch is classic 80s as it blends in with its integrated steel bracelet - a slim case profile with bevelled edges makes the watch feel retro. Below 12 o'clock there is an applied "Seiko" logo and "King Quartz" logo; above 6 o'clock there is an applied King Quartz line logo. The crown is also signed with the King Quartz line and winds smooth. This watch comes with its original bracelet. There are scratches throughout the watch and bracelet.
Seiko King Quartz History:
Introduced in 1975, the King Quartz was a development on the 38series of high quality quartz movement, the first Seiko quartz movement to be produced in large quantities. That earlier movement featured a 16382 Hz quartz oscillator but the 48series doubled this to 32768 Hz. with 7 jewels, slimmer condensers and a high level of finishing. With an integrated bracelet that is easily adjustable the King Quartz is a great companion for the wrist.
