This Omega Stingray Cobra Ref. 166.121 from the 1970's is in great vintage condition and is a definite conversation starter. As the 1970's sci-fi and funk design movement engulfed the world, this watch fits within those principles.
Condition Report:
Immediately we must talk about the case design, almost UFO-like it's an elliptical shape that hugs your wrist which has cues to a stingray or cobra snake. The case from left to right (excluding the crown) is around 43 mm, and the thickness measures 12.5mm. The case is in good condition with hairline scratches. The grey sunburst dial has a silver and black chapter ring that features recessed indices with black highlights and within these are tiny dots of lume. These have patina'd nicely with age and have turned to a soft cream. This three-dimensional dial creates depth to the watch, giving it a space-themed look. The crown is stamped Omega and the caseback is plain. Under the hood of the watch is the Omega caliber 1480 which beats at 21,600 vph.
