The Grand Seiko SBGT001 is a quartz watch introduced in 1993. The stainless steel case houses the 9F83 movement. The movement has a high precision rate of +/- 10 seconds a year, made possible by the careful selection and ageing of each quartz crystal and by the pairing of each crystal oscillator with an IC adjusted to accommodate its individual performance characteristics. Every part of the watch was manufactured in-house.

The example we have from 1997 is in excellent condition with minimal wear present on the watch. It features a plain white dial with sharp stainless steel hour and minute hands. The case design of this watch just speaks Grand Seiko with its slim profile and sharp bevelled edges. Below 12 o'clock there is an applied "Seiko" logo, and above 6 o'clock there is a "Grand Seiko" logo. The crown is also signed with "GS" and winds smooth. This watch comes on its original beads of rice Grand Seiko bracelet and its original instruction manual.
